A 100 Days of Love

Peter and Tina are sitting in the park doing nothing but simply gazing into the sky. Their friends are having out having fun with their beloved other halves.

Tina: I'm so bored. I wish I have a boyfriend to spend time with.
Peter: I guess we're the only leftovers. We're the only ones who are without a date.
(Both sigh and there was silence for a while)
Tina: I think I have a good idea. Let’s play a game!
Peter: Eh? What game?
Tina: Erm... It's quite simple. You have to be my boyfriend for 100 days and I'll be your girlfriend for 100 days. What do you think?
Peter: Okay... Anyway I don't have any plans for the next few months.
Tina: You sound like you aren't looking forward to it. Cheer up! Today will be the first day of our relationship and our first date. Where should we go?
Peter: How about a movie? I heard that there is a really great movie in the theatres now.
Tina: I don't think I have any better ideas. Let’s make a move!
(They went to catch a movie and Peter sent Tina home)

- Day 2 -
Peter and Tina went to a concert together. Peter bought Tina a keychain with a star.

- Day 3 -
They went shopping together for a friend's birthday present. They shared an ice-cream together and hugged each other for the first time.

- Day 7 -
Peter drove Tina up a mountain and they watched the sunset together. When night came and the moon glowed, they sat together on the grass and gazed at the stars. A meteor passed by. Tina mumbled something.

- Day 25 -
The couple spent time at a theme park together. They got onto a rollercoaster, ate hotdogs and cotton candy. Peter and Tina got into the haunted house and Tina grabbed someone's hand instead of Peter's hand by accident. They laughed about it together for a while.

- Day 67 -
They drove past a circus and decided to get in to watch the show. The midget asked Tina to play a part as his assistant in the magic show. They went around the circus to see other entertainments after the show.
They stopped at the fortune teller and she just said, "Treasure every moment from now on."
A tear rolled down the fortune teller's cheek.

- Day 84 -
Tina suggested that they go to the beach. The beach wasn't so crowded that day. They shared their first kiss with each other just as the sun was setting.

- Day 99 -
They decided to have a simple day together. They settled on a walk around the city. They sat down on a bench.

- At 1.23 p.m. -
Tina: I'm thirsty. Let’s rest for a while.
Peter: Wait here while I go get some drinks. What would you like?
Tina: Erm... Apple juice will be just fine.

- At 1.43 p.m. -
Tina waited for about twenty minutes and Peter was not back yet. Someone walked up to her.
Stranger: Is your name Tina?
Tina: Yes. How may I help you?
Stranger: A drunk driver crashed into a guy on the street just now. I think the victim is your friend.

Tina ran over to the spot with the stranger and sees Peter lying on the floor with blood all over his face and her apple juice still in his hands. The ambulance came and she went to the hospital with Peter. Tina sat outside the emergency room for five and a half hours. The doctor came out, and he sighed.

- At 11.51 p.m. -
Doctor: I'm sorry, but we did the best we could. He is still breathing right now but God would take him away from us very soon. We found this letter inside his pocket.
The doctor hands a letter over to Tina and she went into the room to see Peter. He looked weak but seemed at peace. Tina read the letter and burst into tears. This is what the letter said.

Tina,

Our 100 days is almost over. I had fun with you for the last 100 days. Although you may sometimes be greedy and less thoughtful, you have brought happiness into my life. I realized that you are a really cute girl and blamed myself for never taking the time to know you better. I have nothing much to ask for but I wish that we can extend the 100 days. I want to be your boyfriend forever and wish that you can be beside me all the time. Tina, I love you.

With love,
Peter

- At 11.58 p.m. -
Tina: (Sobbing) Peter, did you know what I wish for on the night that there was a meteor? I asked God to let us last forever. We were supposed to last 100 days so Peter, you can't leave me! I Love You! Can you come back to me now? I love you Peter! I Love You!

As the clock struck twelve, Peter's heart stopped beating. It was 100 days.

* Note *
Tell him/her you love him/her before it’s too late. You never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. You never know who will be leaving you and never return ever again.

The Butterfly Attack

Walking down a path through some woods in Georgia, I saw a water puddle ahead on the path. I angled my direction to go around it on the part of the path that wasn’t covered by water and mud. As I reached the puddle, I was suddenly attacked! I did nothing as the attack was unpredictable and from a source so totally unexpected.

I was startled as well as unhurt, despite having been struck four or five times. I took a step back and my attacker stopped attacking me. Instead, he hovered in the air on graceful butterfly wings in front of me. Had I been hurt I wouldn’t have found it amusing, but I was unhurt, it was funny and I was laughing. After all, I was being attacked by a butterfly!

Having stopped laughing, I took a step forward. My attacker rushed towards me again. He rammed me in the chest with his head and body, striking me over and over again with all its might to no avail.

For a second time, I retreat a step backwards and my attacker relented in its attack. I tried moving forward again. My attacker charged at me again. I was rammed in the chest over and over again. I wasn’t sure what to do, other than to retreat a third time. After all, it’s not everyday that one is attacked by a butterfly. This time, I stepped back several paces to examine the situation.

My attacker moved back as well to land on the ground. That’s when I discovered why my attacker was charging at me only moments earlier. He had a mate and she was dying. She was beside the puddle where he landed. Sitting close beside her, he opened and closed his wings as if to fan her. I could only admire the love and courage of that butterfly in his concern for his mate. He had taken it upon himself to attack me for his mate’s sake, even though she was clearly dying and I was so large. He did so just to give her those extra few precious moments of life just in case I was careless enough to step on her.

Now I knew why and what he was fighting for. There was really only one option left for me. I carefully made my way around the puddle to the other side of the path, though it was only inches wide and extremely muddy. His courage in attacking something thousands of times larger and heavier than himself just for his mate’s safety justified it. I couldn’t do anything other than reward him by walking on the more difficult side of the puddle. He had truly earned those moments to be with her, undisturbed. I left them in peace for those last few moments.

Since then, I’ve always tried to remember the courage of that butterfly whenever I encounter huge obstacles. I use that butterfly’s courage as an inspiration and to remind myself that good things are worth fighting for.

A Couple's Heartbreak

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, the husband saw a medicine bottle left open one morning. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot about the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified to face her husband.

When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

What do you think were the four words?

The husband just said "I Love You Darling."

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he have taken time to keep the bottle away, this will not have happened. There was no point in attaching blame to his wife. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldn't forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing in the world to do? Treasure what you have. Don't multiply pain, anguish and suffering by holding on to forgiveness.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.

Take off all your envies, jealousies, unwillingness to forgive, selfishness and fears and you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

Love Is

Part 1

I had three friends. Eric, Cathlyn, Carol. Eric was chased by all the girls in our high school. Cathlyn was one of those popular girls. Cheerleader, sexy, and stylish. Carol was just one of those plain and average girls .

Cathlyn and Carol were both totally crazy and wacko over Eric. Cathlyn didn't have to do anything to attract Eric, for she was already attractive enough. Carol on the other hand, showered Eric with love and care. Carol wasn't ugly at all. In fact, she looked sweet and pleasant. However, she wasn't a cheerleader and she didn't wear spaghetti-straps or tubes.

So like everyone expected, Eric chose Cathlyn. While Cathlyn was labeled as the cool and attractive type, Carol was just one ordinary and plain girl.

Eric always insulted Carol. He was always telling her what a 'Plain Jane' she was and how dumb she looked. It made Carol felt hurt and useless. Despite Eric's insults, Carol never gave up. She wanted to prove something to Eric. She wanted to prove that looks aren't everything. She studied hard, really hard. She became the top girl in her school and all the guys who once ignored her went after her.

Regardless of her success, she never forgot Eric. Everyday, she put a red rose in Eric's locker with the same words.
'I care for you, and I always will' Because she knew that Eric was facing a hard time.

Soon, Eric began to realise how dumb he had beenwhen he saw his beloved girlfriend Cathlyn flirting with other guys. He regretted choosing the wrong girl.

Cathlyn broke up with Eric some time later for she had found a wealthier guy. Eric felt cheated, stupid and dumb. He went to look for Carol. He knelt on his knees, and said.
"Carol, please forgive me. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Carol rejected him, much to everyone's surprise. She only uttered these words.
"You've suffered a great loss, so I don't want you to face another one"

Part 2

Eric felt disappointed. He didn't understand a word that she said to him. However, they became good friends and did everything together. Eric began to change into someone better because Carol showered him with the love he had never experienced before. His ex-girlfriends had never treated him that way as they just accepted him for his looks. In comparison, Carol accepted him for who he is and changed him to become a better person. Carol continued putting a red rose into his locker everyday with the same words. She never forgot.

One day, Carol didn't turn up in school. She didn't come for a week. At first, Eric thought that she was on a vacation with her family because she told him that she would be going Hawaii with them. He thought nothing about it until he received a call from the General Hospital. They told him that Carol was about to die. She had been suffering from cancer but Carol forbade them from telling him because she didn't want Eric to worry about her.

Now that she was about to die, she wanted to see Eric for the last time. Eric rushed to the hospital immediately. When he saw how weak Carol was, tears streamed down his cheeks.
He whispered, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why did you hide this from me?"
She looked at him and smiled weakly.
"When I said that I didn't want you to suffer from facing another loss, I meant this. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to worry. I wanted to spend my last days with you cheerfully." Eric looked at her.
"You can't leave me!" he said.
"What will I be without you?"
"You'll be who you are now. I will always be there by your side. Never forget that. Cherish those times. Live life happily. And one more thing."
"Yes?"
"I love you"

And she died. Eric screamed. He still couldn't accept Carol's death. He had only spent a month with Carol. One short month was enough for Carol to change his life in a way that no one could ever explain. Eric had many regrets but he knew that Carol would always be keeping an eye on him from Heaven.

Sometimes, we just don't appreciate those people who really care for us until they leave us or until we lose them. Then, it would be too late for regrets. Outer beauty doesn't matter; it's the inner one that counts. It's better to tell someone how much you love them now rather than to not tell them and lose them without telling them.

Love is when we fight till the very last minute just to show and tell someone how much we love them to live life without regrets.

Father's Eyes

Bob Richards, the former pole-vault champion, shares a moving story about a skinny young boy who loved football with all his heart. Practice after practice, he eagerly gave everything he had. But being half the size of the other boys, he got absolutely nowhere. At all the games, this hopeful athlete sat on the bench and hardly ever played. This teenager lived alone with his father and the two of them had a very special relationship. Even though the son was always on the bench, his father was always in the stands cheering. He never missed a game. This young man was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school. But his father continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn't want to. But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there. He was determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he'd get to play when he became a senior. All through high school, he never missed a practice nor a game but remained a bench-warmer for all four years. His faithful father was always in the stands, always with words of encouragement for him.

When the young man went to college, he decided to try out for the football team as a "walk-on." Everyone was sure he could never make the cut, but he did. The coach admitted that he kept him on the roster because he always puts his heart and soul to every practice, and at the same time, provided the other members with the spirit and hustle they badly needed. The news that he had survived the cut thrilled him so much that he rushed to the nearest phone and called his father. His father shared his excitement and was sent season tickets for all the college games. This persistent young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in a game. It was the end of his senior football season, and as he trotted onto the practice field shortly before the big playoff game, the coach met him with a telegram. The young man read the telegram and he became deathly silent.
Swallowing hard, he mumbled to the coach, "My father died this morning. Is it all right if I miss practice today?"
The coach put his arm gently around his shoulder and said, "Take the rest of the week off, son. And don't even plan to come back to the game on Saturday."

Saturday arrived, and the game was not going well. In the third quarter, when the team was ten points behind, a silent young man quietly slipped into the empty locker room and put on his football gear. As he ran onto the sidelines, the coach and his players were astounded to see their faithful teammate back so soon.
"Coach, please let me play. I've just got to play today," said the young man. The coach pretended not to hear him. There was no way he wanted his worst player in this close playoff game. But the young man persisted, and feeling sorry for the kid, the coach finally gave in.
"All right," he said.
"You can go in." Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown, who had never played before was doing everything right. The opposing team could not stop him. He ran, he passed, blocked and tackled like a star. His team began to triumph. The score was soon tied. In the closing seconds of the game, this kid intercepted a pass and ran all the way for the winning touchdown. The fans broke loose. His teammates hoisted him onto their shoulders. The kid was given the loudest cheers you can ever hear.

Finally, after the stands had emptied and the team had showered and left the locker room, the coach noticed that this young man was sitting quietly in the corner all alone.
The coach came to him and said, "Kid, I can't believe it. You were fantastic! Tell me what got into you? How did you do it?"
He looked at the coach with tears in his eyes and said, "Well, you knew my dad died, but did you know that my dad was blind?"
The young man swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Dad came to all my games, but today was the first time he could see me play, and I wanted to show him I could do it!"

True Love

It was approximately 8.30 a.m. on a busy morning when an elderly gentleman in his eighties arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9.00 a.m.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat. I knew it would take more than an hour before someone would to able to attend to him. I saw him check his watch anxiously for the time and decided to evaluate his wound since I was not busy with another patient.

On examination, the wound was well healed. Hence, I talked to one of the doctors to get the supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

We began to engage in a conversation while I was taking care of his wound. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment later as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no and said that he needed to go to the nursing home to have breakfast with his wife.

I inquired about her health. He told me that she had been in the nursing home for a while as she was a victim of Alzheimer's disease. I probed further and asked if she would be upset if he was slightly late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was and she had not been able to recognize him since five years ago.
I asked him in surprise, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?"
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is."

I had to hold back my tears as he left.
I had goose bumps on my arm, and I thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."

True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

Mad at You

Girl: Hey baby I want to show you...
Boy: (Cutting her off) Ugh... I'm so mad.
Girl: Why? What’s wrong?
Boy: Ugh... Everything!
Girl: Explain baby.
Boy: Just lost a championship game, my parents flipped out on me for no reason and I'm catching a cold.
Girl: Well, there will always be other games; you know I'll take care of you when you are sick and what are your parents flipping out on you for?
Boy: They are making me pay them for a car repair.
Girl: Is it a lot of money?
Boy: No, it just sucks.
Boy: Hey, I don't feel well. I am going to go lie down for a while.
Boy: Bye.
Girl: Wait I want to give you some...
Boy: Can't it wait until tomorrow?
Girl: Yeah, sure.
Girl: Bye.
Boy: Bye.

Two hours later, the girl joins a friend for a drive out. Her friend swerved to avoid hitting a truck and hits a tree instead. Her friend was killed instantly while she remains in critical condition.

Girl's sister: Oh my god! (Crying)
Boy: What? What's wrong?
Girl's sister: My sister... Your girlfriend was involved in a major car accident.
Boy: Is she OK?
Girl's sister: She's in critical condition.
Boy: I'll be there in ten minutes.

He shows up at the hospital room and stands outside the door. He was replaying the last conversation he had with his girlfriend over and over again in his mind. He was also filled with anguish as he sees the injured girl attached to the life support machine in the room struggling to fight for her life.

Boy: She wanted to give me something or tell me something.
Girls mom: Yeah this...

It was an envelope that was sealed with a kiss in lipstick. The contents of the letter is as follow.

You're everything to me. I love you with everything I am and everything I have. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Sealed in it was a ripped movie ticket from the first movie they went to and the first picture they took together.

He kissed the picture as a tear fell from his face onto the picture. It looked as if she was crying in the picture.

Suddenly, the life support machine started emitting a constant beeping sound. Three minutes later, she was pronounced dead by the doctors.

A Silent Love

From the very beginning, the girl's family strongly objected on her dating him. They objected because of his family background and felt that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.

Due to her family pressure, the couple quarreled very often. Although the girl love the guy deeply, she would always seek confirmation of his love by asking him,
"How deep is your love for me?" As the guy is not good with his words, this often result in the girl to be very upset. These various reasons causes the girl to vent her anger on him often. The guy endured the suffering in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated and decided to further his studies overseas. Before leaving, he proposed to the girl,
"I'm not very good with words, but I simply know I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I'll try my best to talk them round. Will you marry me?"

The girl agreed and touched by the guy's determination, the family finally gave in and agreed to let them get married. So before he left the country, they got engaged.

The girl entered the working society, whereas the guy continued his studies overseas. They kept their love strong through emails and phone calls. Even though it's hard, neither of them never thought of giving up.

One day, while the girl was on her way to work, she was knocked down by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her parents beside her bed. She realized that she was badly injured. She saw her mum crying and wanted to comfort her. But she realized that she could only muster a sigh. She has lost her voice...

The doctors explanation was that the impact of the accident on her brain caused her to lose her voice. When she heard her parents comforting her but she was unable to reply them at all, she broke down.

During the stay in the hospital, other than crying silently there was nothing else she could do. Upon reaching home, life seemed to go on normally. However, whenever the phone rang, the ringtone seemed to pierce through her heart. She had no wish of letting the guy know about her condition. She did not want to be a burden to him. Hence, she wrote a letter to him informing him that she does not wish to wait for him to come back any longer.

Following that, she sent the engagement ring back to him. In return, the guy sent millions of reply and countless phonecalls... The girl could only drown her sorrows in tears as she ignored them all.

The parents decided to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything and be happy. With a new environment, the girl picked up sign language and started a new life. She told herself everyday that she must forget about the guy.

One day, her friend informed her that he's back from abroad. She requested her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasn't anymore news of him.

A year later, her friend came back with an envelope, containing an invitation card for the guy's wedding. The girl was shattered. When she opened the letter, she saw shocked to see her name as the bride. Just when she was about to ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her. He used sign language to tell her this,

"I've spent a year's time to learn sign language just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I Love You. With that, he slipped the ring back into her finger. The girl finally smiled."

Love Breaks Hearts

Part 1

He stared at the screen of his computer not sure what to write. His fingers danced over the keys and the mouse as he pressed them but he kept erasing it. He read through their conversation again.

Alice: Hey
Ricky: We need to talk
Alice: About what?
Ricky: Something important…
Alice: Which is?

Finally Ricky began typing.

Ricky: It’s kind of complicated. I don’t know if we can be together anymore. I am moving away and I am not up for a long distance relationship.
Alice: We’re breaking up?
Ricky: Exactly. I don’t want you anymore.
Alice has logged out.

Ricky wanted to cry so badly but he never cried and he wouldn’t start. He would find a new girl to love and take care of. Alice didn’t need him and he didn’t need her. Or did he? He sighed and went to sleep. He didn’t care about her anymore. He couldn’t.

In the morning Alice didn’t go to school. She slept in on purpose. When she finally woke up, she refused to eat breakfast. She refused to go to school and she refused to answer her friends’ text messages. She only read a couple of them and she wouldn’t read the ones from Ricky. She sat and stared at her wall hugging herself and thought of all the times together with Ricky. She cried as she did. She finally got out of bed and wrote a fake sick note and walked to school. She turned it in at the office and went into class. She sat up front in the classroom instead of sitting at the back beside Ricky.

Ricky was sitting at the back of the classroom trying to avoid Alice. There were confused eyes flickering between Ricky and Alice but Ricky pretended not to notice. Ricky and Alice had been the best couple in the school. Later on, Ricky and his friends were talking and laughing and Alice walked by. They stopped laughing. She looked horrible. She stopped at her locker and they looked closely. She was pale white and looked sick.

One of Ricky’s best friends, Dylan left the group and walked up to her.
“You’re gonna be okay.” He told her.
She didn’t turn to look at him so he cracked a joke. She giggled when she finally turned her head and saw the hilarious look on his face. She stopped and turned back to her locker when she saw Ricky and his friends walked by.
“Go away Dylan.” She whispered and ran off to the bathroom.

Part 2

Two days later

Ricky was sitting in his room on his bed in North Carolina. He stared at the wall and thought of his old times with Alice. He missed her. Should he call her? Should he ask his parents to return home? He wasn’t sure and he went back to sleep.

Alice was sitting in her room on her bed back in Vermont. She stared at the wall and thought of her old times with Ricky. She missed him. Should she call him? Should she ask her parents to move? She wasn’t sure and she went back to sleep.

In the morning Ricky got up and went to his phone and dialled Alice’s number. Alice noticed her phone ringing at home. She looked at the number. It was unfamiliar. She did not know that Ricky had a new number. She answered it.

“Alice! I am so sorry. I am going to get my parents to let me come home. I could never let you go. I love you.”
“I love you too. I can’t wait to see you.” She said.
They talked and chatted for a while and for the first time in a few days, Alice felt good.

Three days later

The car was flipping over. Ricky didn’t know what was happening. His face smashed into the window.
‘This is it. I’m going to die.’ He thought.
The car finally stopped and he heard a noise. He thought it was imagining things but he was soon being lifted out of the car.

He woke up in the hospital later in the day. Alice was crying at his side. Her eyes were red.
“Alice??” Ricky whispered.
“Oh Ricky!” She kissed him and he kissed her back.
“I love you.”
“I love you too Alice.” He whispered with his last breath and then his electrocardiograph gave off a sickening continuous beep.
Alice cried her eyes out as the doctors came rushing in and tried to revive him. Ricky died that day. Alice cried at his funeral and never returned home. Her body was found washed up on the side of the beach two years later. Apparently, she had committed suicide to be with the one she loves.

I Love You Not

Part 1

Boy: Baby, we need to talk.
Girl: Ricardo, what do u mean?
Boy: Something crop up...
Girl: What? What's wrong? Is it bad?
Boy: I don't want to hurt you, baby.
Girl: *Thinks* Oh my God, I hope he doesn’t break up with me... I love him so much.
Boy: Baby, are you there?
Girl: Yeah, I'm here. What is so important?
Boy: I'm not sure if I should say it...
Girl: Well, you already brought it up, so please just tell me.
Boy: I'm leaving...
Girl: Baby, what are u talking about? I don't want you to leave me, I love you.
Boy: Not like that, I mean I'm moving far away.
Girl: Why? Your whole family lives over here.
Boy: Well, my father is sending me away to a boarding school far away.
Girl: I can't believe this.

Father: (Picks up the other phone, interrupts and yells furiously) Erica! What did I tell you about talking to boys?! Get off the damn phone!! (And he hangs up).

Boy: Wow, your father sounds really mad.
Girl: You know how he gets mad. Anyway, I don’t want you to go.
Boy: Would you run away with me?
Girl: Baby, you know I would, I would do anything for you, but I can't... You don't know what would happen if I did. My dad would kill me!
Boy: *Sad* Its okay... I guess I understand...
Girl: *Thinking* I can't believe what's going on.
Boy: I need to give you something tonight because I am leaving on Flight 1-80 in the morning so I need to see you now.
Girl: Okay, I will sneak out and meet you at the park.
Boy: Okay, I'll meet you there in twenty minutes.

[They meet at a nearby park and gave each other a tight hug. He gives her a note.]
Boy: Here you go. This is for you. I got to go.

Girl: *Tearing* (Begins to cry.)
Boy: Baby, don’t cry, you know I love you... But I have to go.
Girl: Okay (Begins to walk away.)

[They both go home. Erica reads the letter he gave her]

                                 Part 2

It says...

"Erica,

You probably already know that I'm leaving. I knew this would be better if I wrote you a letter explaining the truth about how much I care about you. The truth is, is that I never loved you, I hated you so much, you are my bitch and don’t you ever forget that. I never cared about you, and never wanted to talk to you, and be around you. You really have no clue about how much I hate you. Now that I'm leaving I thought you should know that I hate you, bitch. You never did the right thing, and you were never there. I didn’t think I could hate someone as much as I hate you. And I never want to see you, for the rest of my life, I will never miss kissing you like before, I never want to cuddle up like how we used to. I will not miss you and that's a promise. You never had my love, and I want you to remember that. Bitch, you keep this letter because this may be the last thing you have from me. Fuck, I hate you so much. I will not talk to you soon bitch... Goodbye.

- Ricardo"

[Erica throws the paper into the garbage bag and cries for hours.]

A day passes. She is sad, depressed and she feels so lonely. She gets a phone call....

Friend: How are you feeling?
Girl: I just can’t believe this happened… I thought he loved me.
Friend: Oh, with regards to that letter. Ricardo left me a message a few days ago. He told me to tell you to look in your jacket pocket or something...
Girl: Umm... Okay.

[She finds a piece of paper in the jacket.]

It says…

"Baby I hope you find this before you read my letter. I knew your dad might read it so I switched a few words...
Hate = Love
Never = Always
Bitch = Baby
Will not = Will

.... I hope you didn't take that seriously because I love you with all my heart and it was so hard to let you go. That’s why I wanted you to run away with me...

-Ricardo"

Girl: Oh my God! It's a love letter! Ricardo does love me! He must have slipped the note into my pocket when he hugged me. I can't believe how stupid I am!
Friend: Lol! Okay, but I got to go. Call me later.
Girl: *Happy* Okay, bye. I'll be at home waiting for my baby to call me!

[Erica turns the T.V. on]

[Breaking news]

"An airplane has crashed. Over 47 young boys died and we are still searching for survivors... This is a tragedy we will never forget. The plane that crashed is Flight 1-80. It was on its way to an all boys boarding school..." the Reporter says.

[She turns off the T.V. ... Three days later, she kills herself because Ricardo is dead and she has nothing to live for...]

One day after, her phone rang. Nobody answers. It was Ricardo. He left a message after being connected to the answering machine.

"Its Ricardo, I guess you're not home. I called to let you know that I'm alive. I missed my flight because I had to see you one last time. I hope you are not worried. I am staying for good."

A Boy's Love

Part 1

On the last day before Christmas, I hurried to the stores to buy the remaining gifts I didn't manage to buy earlier.
When I saw all the people there, I started to complain to myself. It is going to take forever here and I still have so many other places to go. Christmas is really getting more and more annoying every year. How I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep and only wake up after it...
Nonetheless, I made my way to the toys section. Once I was there, I started to curse at the prices as I wonder if all kids really play with such expensive toys.
While looking in the toys section, I noticed a small boy of about five years old, pressing a doll against his chest. He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked very sad. I wondered who he wanted to give the doll to.
The little boy turned to the old woman next to him and said, “Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?”
The old lady replied, “You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.”
Following that, she asked him to stay put for five minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hands. Finally, I walked towards him and asked him who he wanted to give the doll to.
“It is the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.”
I told him that maybe Santa Claus will bring it to her after all and not to worry.
However, he replied sadly, “No, Santa Claus cannot bring it to where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mother so that she can give it to her when she goes there.”
His eyes looked so sad while saying this.
“My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy said that Mommy will also join God very soon so I thought that she can bring the doll with her to give it to my sister.”
My heart nearly stopped.
The little boy looked up at me and said, “I told Daddy to tell Mommy not to go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the store.”

Part 2

Then, he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing.
He told me, “I also want Mommy to take this photo with her so that she will not forget me.”
“I love my Mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me but Daddy says that she has to go and join my little sister.”
Then he looked at the doll again quietly with sad eyes.
I quickly reached for my wallet and took a few dollars out.
I said to the boy, “What if we checked again, just in case, to see if you have enough money?”
“Okay. I hope that I have enough.” he said.
I added some of my money into his without him seeing and we started to count it together. There was enough for the doll with some spare money.
The little boy said, “Thank you God for giving me enough money.”
Then he looked at me and added, “Yesterday, I asked God before I slept to make sure that I have enough money to buy this doll so that mommy can give it to my sister. He must have heard me.”
“I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. However, he gave me enough to buy the doll and the white rose. You know, my mommy loves white roses.”
The old lady came back a few minutes later and I left.
I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Suddenly, I remembered an article in the local newspaper two days ago which is about a traffic accident. In the accident, a truck driven by a drunk driver hit a car. There was a young lady and a little girl inside the car. The little girl died right away and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-support machine because the young lady would not be able to get out of the coma.
Was that the family of the little boy?

Two days after the encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away.
I couldn't stop myself from buying a bunch of white roses and going to the mortuary where the body of the young lady will be placed for people to pay their final respects before burial. She was there in her coffin holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place crying as I felt that my life had been changed forever.
The love that the little boy had for his mother and sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. In a fraction of a second, the drunk driver took all this away from him.

She Was Not Beautiful

She was not beautiful. Nothing about her was extraordinary. Nothing about her made her stand out in a crowd. She grew up in a family of six and being the eldest, she learned to be responsible at an early age.

As she grew stronger and brighter, she helped to cheer the people around her. She was not beautiful, but she made others feel better themselves. She met a boy rebel who thinks he is a man. She befriends him and teaches him to read. They became good friends and she fell in love with her rugged and handsome student.

However, the 'man' finds himself in love with another girl. She was beautiful and had deep blue eyes and fine silky hair. He tells his tutor that it seemed as if she had a halo around her head like a beautiful ‘angel.' Upon hearing this, the tutor swallows a lump in her throat. She was not beautiful, she would not be able to compete with the ‘angel’ he loved, but she did not care. As long as he is happy, she will be happy. She helped him write the most beautiful letters to his ‘angel’. As she was writing the letters, she imagined herself receiving those very letters. She also helped him to choose the right clothes, say the right words and buy the right gifts for his ‘angel’.

His ‘angel’ brought him much joy but much pain for the tutor who cries behind her smiles. But that never stopped her from giving more than she will ever receive. Then one day, the ‘angel’ left him for another richer and more successful man. The boy was stunned. He was so hurt that he did not speak for days. The tutor went to him and he cried on her shoulders and she cried with him.

He was hurt and she was too. Time went by and the wounds healed. By now, the boy realizes something about his friend/tutor. Something he never realized before. He realizes how heavenly her laughter sounded and how her smiles brightened up the darkest days. He also realizes how beautiful she simply looked to him!
She was not beautiful. However, she was beautiful to him. He began to fall in love with this beautiful girl he had seen through new eyes. One day, he picked up all his courage to see her. He walked to her house feeling nervous, and fidgeting all the way. He ran his thoughts over and over his head.

He was going to tell her how beautiful she was to him. He was going to tell her how wonderfully in love he was with her. He knocked. No one was home.

The next day, he found out that the beautiful girl he just fell in love with had a brain tumour that put her into a coma. The doctors were grim and the family decided to let her go.

He got to see her one final time. He held her hand and stroked her hair as he cried for this beautiful girl. He cried but it was too late. The beautiful girl was buried and the high heavens above broke down and cried for their loss too. There was a beautiful Spring shower on her burial day. She was the most beautiful girl in the world and she had taught the boy rebel/man to love and what it is to be loved.

She was the most beautiful girl in the world.

Look around. Aren't there a lot of plain faces around us? Take a real good look or you might just miss out on that beautiful person.

Loving An Imperfect Person

 Part 1

They have been married for two years. He loves literature and often posts his work on the net, but nobody ever reads them. He is also into photography and he handles their wedding photos. He loves her very much. Likewise with her. She has a quick temper and always bullies him. He is a gentleman and always gives in to her. Today, she's being willful again.
Her: "Why can't you be the photographer for my friend's wedding? She promised she'd pay."
Him: "I don't have time that day."
Her: "Humph!"
Him: "Huh?"
Her: "Don't have time? Write less of those novels, and you will have all the time you need."
Him: "I... Someone will definitely recognize my work some day."
Her: "Humph! I don't care, you'll have to do it for her!"
Him: "No."
Her: "Just this once?"
Him: "No."
Negotiation's broken.
So, she gave the final warning: "Give me a Yes within three days, or else..."
First day, she "withheld" the kitchen, bathroom, computer, refrigerator, television, hi-fi... Except the double bed, to show her "benevolence". Of course, she has to sleep on it too. He didn't mind, as he still has some cash in his pockets.
Second day, she conducted a raid and removed everything from his pockets and warned, "Seek any external help, and you bear the consequences."
He's nervous now. That night, on the bed, he begs for mercy, hoping that she'll end this state. She doesn't give a damn. No way am I giving in, whatever he says. Until he agrees to be the photographer.
Third day, night. On the bed.
He's lying on the bed, looking to one side. She's lying on the bed, looking to the other side.
Him: "We need to talk."
Her: "Unless it's about the wedding, forget it."
Him: "It's something very important."

 Part 2

She remains silent.
Him: "Let's get a divorce."
She did not believe her ears.
Him: "I got to know a girl."
She's totally angry, and wanted to hit him. But she held it down, wanting to let him finish. But her eyes already felt wet. He took a photo out from his chest. Probably from his undershirt pocket, that's the only place she didn't go through yesterday. How careless.
Him: "She's a nice girl."
Her tears fell.
Him: "She has a good personality too."
She's heartbroken because he puts a photo of some other girl close to his heart.
Him: "She says that she'll support me fully in my pursue for literature after we got married."
She's very jealous because she said the same thing in the past.
Him: "She loves me truly."
She wishes to sit up and scream at him "Don't I?"
Him: "So, I think she won't force me to do something that I don't want to do."
She's thinking, but the rage won't subside.
Him: "Want to take a look at the photo I took for her?"
Her: "...!"
He brings the photo before her eyes. She's in a total rage, hits his hand away and leaves a burning slap on his face. He sighs. She cries. He puts the photo back to his pocket. She pulls her hand back under the blanket. He turns off the light, and sleeps. She turns on the light, and sits up. He's asleep. She lost sleep. She regrets treating him the way she treated him. She cried again, and thought about a lot of things. She wants to wake him up. She wants to have a intimate talk with him. She doesn't want to push him anymore. She stares at his chest. She wants to see how the girl looks. She slips the photo out. She wanted to cry and she wanted to laugh.
It's a nicely taken photo. A photo he took for her. She bends down, and kissed him on his cheek. He smiled. He was just pretending to be asleep.
"You learn to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."

9. Invite her somewhere.
10. Hangout with her and your friends together.

11. Smile with her.
12. Take pictures with her.
13. Pull her onto your lap.
14. When she says she loves you more, deny it. Fight back.
15. When her friends say “I love her more than you”, deny it. Fight back and hug her tight so she can’t get to her friends. It makes her feel loved.

Are you thinking of someone?
16. Always hug her and say I love you whenever you see her.
17. Kiss her unexpectedly.
18. Hug her from behind around the waist.
19. Tell her she’s beautiful.
20. Tell her the way you feel about her.

One last thing you need to do to show her you actually do mean it.
21. Open doors for her, walk her to her car - it makes her feel protected, plus it never hurts to act like a gentleman.
22. Tell her she’s your everything - only if you mean it.
23. If it seems like there is something wrong, ask her - if she denies something being wrong, it means SHE DOESN’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT - so just hug her.

24. Make her feel loved.
25. Kiss her in front of OTHER girls you know!

WE MIGHT DENY IT BUT WE ACTUALLY LIKE AND KINDA WANT YOU TO TICKLE US ..
26. Don’t lie to her.
27. DON’T cheat on her.
28. Take her ANYWHERE she wants.
29. Text message or call her in the morning and tell her have a good day at school, and how much you miss her.
30. Be there for her whenever she needs you, and even when she doesn’t need you, just be there so she’ll know that she can always count on you.

ARE YOU STILL READING THIS? YOU BETTER, BECAUSE IT’S IMPORTANT.
31. Hold her close when she’s cold so she can hold you too.
32. When you are alone hold her close and kiss her.
33. Kiss her on the cheek; (it will give her the hint that you want to kiss her).
34. While in the movies, put your arm around her and then she will automatically put her head on your shoulder, then lean in and tilt her chin up and kiss her lightly.

35. Don’t ever tell her to leave even jokingly or act like you’re mad. If she’s upset, comfort her.

REMEMBER ALL THESE THINGS WHEN YOU ARE WITH HER NEXT ..
36. When people diss her, stand up for her.
37. Look deep into her eyes and tell her you love her.
38. Lay down under the stars and put her head on your chest so she can listen to the steady beat of your heart, link your fingers together while you whisper to her as she rests her eyes and listens to you.
39. When walking next to each other grab her hand.
40. When you hug her, hold her in your arms as long as possible.

MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS SHES LOVED.
41. Call or text her at night to wish her sweet dreams.
42. Comfort her when she cries and wipe away her tears.
43. Take her for long walks at night.
44. Always remind her how much you love her.
45. Sit on top of her and tell her how much you love her and then bend down to her face and kiss her while you’re sitting on her.
